How important is it to know
Mashiyach in a Hebrew context?
The
Torah of YHWH, Prophecy and the revelation of Yeshua Mashiyach came
in the context of the Jewish culture and in the Hebrew and Aramaic
languages. YHWH clearly instructed Moshe to warn His people
not to change His Word, the conveyance of original Hebrew
understanding is of paramount importance to YHWH, but precious few
individuals heed these instructions:
|
"You shall not add unto the Word
which I command you, neither shall you diminish from it, that you
may keep the commandments of YHWH your Elohim which I command you."
Deuteronomy 4:2
"What I command you, observe to do
it: you shall not add to it, nor diminish from it."
Deuteronomy 12:32
"Every
word of Elohim is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their
trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He reprove you,
and you be found a liar." Proverbs 30:5,6.
"For I testify unto every man that
hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add
unto these things, Elohim shall add unto him the plagues that are
written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the
words of the book of this prophecy, Elohim shall take away his part
out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the
things which are written in this book." Revelations 22:18,19

"For I am YHWH, I change not,
therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed."
Malachi 3:6
In the very early days Christian's
were followers of Yeshua and were brought into the Kingdom of Elohim
through men like Apostle Paul and the Talmidim of Yeshua. In
Jewish culture, using the term our "Fathers" was a reference to
Avraham, Yitzak and Ya'akov. Not long after the death of
Apostle Paul, Greek Christians began to adopt the values and customs
of the Greeks and apply them to Christianity, today Christians look
back at the Church "Fathers", for guidance and direction about the
Kingdom of Elohim (Yeshua said call no one "father" Matt.
23:8). However the Church Founders insisted not only in taking
authority upon themselves as "fathers" but the values and
understanding of the Kingdom of Elohim. In the course of time
the church founders claimed that
the original autograph of the New Testament was originally written in their own
Greek tongue. The majority of Christians today will now dogmatically
argue that the Words of Yeshua and His Talmidim were spoken and
written in Greek, not the native Hebrew and Aramaic. Our
values will evolve from which authority we choose to follow. The
Greek language and culture is not what YHWH choose to speak to
humanity through, regardless of how capable and intellectual one
considers Greek language to be.
History shows that adversaries of
YHWH have diligently tried to change the Word of YHWH to
establish their own authority, the Pope of Rome is a
clear example of this. Pope John Paul II (Yeshua said
call no man "father") teaches the Bible cannot be taken literally.

"Fundamentalism also places undue stress upon the inerrancy of certain
details in the biblical texts, especially in what concerns
historical events or supposedly scientific truth. It often
historicizes material which from the start never claimed to be
historical... Fundamentalism likewise tends to adopt very narrow
points of view. It accepts the literal reality of an ancient,
out-of-date cosmology, simply because it is found expressed in the
Bible; this blocks any dialogue with a broader way of seeing the
relationship between culture and faith. Its relying upon a
non-critical reading of certain texts of the Bible serves to
reinforce political ideas and social attitudes that are marked by
prejudices --racism, for example -- quite contrary to the Christian
gospel."

Authority is powerful
thing, it directs
a person how to think about YHWH and His Scripture, authority
explains, teaches and defines knowledge.
|
"My people are
destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have
rejected knowledge , I will also reject you, that you
shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the
Torah of your Elohim, I will also forget your children."
Hosea 4:6 |
Once a souls
comes to know Yeshua as HaMashiyach, he or she is called into a Priesthood,
this Priesthood
is a mantle of the Ruach HaKodesh to walk in Grace and Observe
the Living Torah, as Yeshua instructed. Many will
not and cannot enter into the Priesthood of HaMashiyach because they are "under the law" of
Christian or Orthodox religions, which means their Pastor or Rabbi is
their authority, not YHWH. "My people are destroyed for
lack of knowledge", because they reject knowledge. This means
the knowledge was offered to them but they refused. YHWH calls
them, "MY PEOPLE", which means these people are loved by YHWH,
except they refuse knowledge and have forgotten "the Torah of
Elohim" and HaMashiyach.
The Torah
(Law) of Elohim provides insights into who Yeshua is, within a
Hebrew and Aramaic language context. Yeshua never attended Sunday school,
ate pork, or violated Torah,
however "the Church" undresses the alter on Easter
Sunday, conducts "Sunrise Services" and observes many
other forms of paganism.

"And the ten horns out
of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and
another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse
from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
And he shall speak great words against the Most High,
and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and
think to change times and laws." Daniel 7:24,25 |
The greatest
"words" against the most high, and the greatest prolonged effort to
"wear out the saints of the Most High" has been to Hellenize the
Jewish people and all followers of HaMashiyach. According to Ray Pritz in his book "Nazarene
Jewish Christianity", there is no historical evidence suggesting
Greek Church founders had ever met or dialogued with Netzarim
Jews. Not only did the church founders not dialogue with
Netzarim Jews, they also portrayed the culture and language of
Yeshua's talmidim to be inferior to their own culture and
they ritually castigated Yeshua's Talmidim for Torah Observance.
The same disdain continues to this day by Greek thinkers who hold
tenaciously to the tradition that the New Testament was of Greek
origin. There are many prohibitions in Torah to
refrain from practicing the values and cultures of the Goyim, but
there have always been remnant Jews who have fiercely resisted the
forces of Hellenism.
According to a well known Christian
scholar Prof Eberhard Nestle (1851-1913) "Learned men, so called
“Correctors” were, following the church meeting at Nicea 325 AD,
selected by the church authorities to scrutinize the sacred texts
and rewrite them in order to correct their meaning in accordance
with the views which the church had just sanctioned."
Much of the Hebrew Roots movement
today is
little more than a skin deep veneer of Greek thinking Christianity
which throws in the odd Hebrew word or song into the meetings. The
Hebrew culture, attitude and values of Torah have been replaced by
Hellenized Western values, specifically as relating to Yeshua
Mashiyach. Western culture teaches that Yeshua is the center
and definition of all what is Righteous and Just, while this is
true, it is a lie to take Yeshua and His original followers out of
the context of Hebrew and Torah and remake Him within a Hellenized
Greek language and culture thus redefining who He is and what He
taught. For many Christians Yeshua is an icon of Greek values
who has been transformed into an idol called "Jesus".
During the Mussaf service of
Yom Kippur, there is a section which describes the death of the Ten
Martyrs at the hands of the Romans. One of the ten was Rabbi
Chananya ben Tradion. The Midrash teaches that he was executed on
the pretext of teaching Torah publicly, a capital offense according
to Roman law. He was wrapped in the Torah scroll that he
always kept with him, and the Romans set him and the scroll afire.
To prolong his agony, they packed his chest with wool soaked in
water. While Rabbi Chananya was burning he said,
"The parchment is
consumed, but the letters fly up in the air."
In April 1933 Nazi university
students went on a book burning rampage to burn books by Jewish
authors, many of these students were pious Christians, the same
spirit lives on today by those who uphold Greek as the sacred
language of the Jewish followers of Yeshua.

meddle not with them that are given to change."
